PML-N leader hopeful for further relief after SC grants bail to Nawaz Sharif.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Erstwhile Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi Tuesday said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif will get further relief in appeal against incarceration.
He was talking to media in Islamabad after the Supreme Court granted bail to Nawaz Sharif for six weeks against a surety bond of Rs5 million in a petition filed on medical grounds in Al-Azizia corruption reference.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said the lies of Prime Minister Imran Khan and his comrades have been exposed and demanded that the premier should apologize. Nawaz Sharif never wished to go abroad for treatment, he added.
Maryam Nawaz also expressed gratitude upon her father’s release and wrote “Allah Kareem” on Twitter.
PMLN President Shehbaz Sharif thanked the Almighty after his brother was granted bail and congratulated party workers and the people.
He pronounced that PML-N has always respected the judicial decisions. When a journalist asked whether Nawaz Sharif would travel abroad for treatment, Shehbaz replied the decision will be made after consultations when Nawaz returns home.
