Talks between Pakistan, FATF delegation formally commence.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The talks between Pakistan government and the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) delegation have formally commenced on Tuesday.

Pakistan will brief the Asia-Pacific Group (APG) on money laundering — a regional affiliate of the FATF – on steps taken against banned outfits and fake accounts, and a report regarding Pakistan will be reviewed.

The sources have revealed that measures taken to stop registration of fake firms and trusts will be monitored in the meeting, and the authorities will ponder to make provincial and district institutions effective in this regard.

It has further been revealed that complete data of registration of firms and trusts on provincial and district levels will be presented.

Representative of Ministry of Finance, Interior and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) will attend the talks.
