ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The coalition partners of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday demanded more ministries in the federal cabinet as the consultation on extension of the federal cabinet is in the final phase.

According to Dunya News sources, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) demanded one ministry each from the PTI government.

Sources further said that the PML-Q dropped Chaudhry Salak’s name and finalized Monis Ellahi’s name for the ministry, while the MQM proposed Ameenul Haq’s name for the ministry.

On the other hand, BAP also demanded one more ministry from the government. Sources said that former minister Azam Swati is likely to be inducted in the federal cabinet again which is linked to his acquittal in the cases against him.

The portfolio of Ministry of Science and Technology has been kept vacant for Swati.
