Senate body faces differences over employees termination on fake degree

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Senate Standing Committee on Aviation faced differences on Wednesday after government members opposed reinstatement of sacked officials.
Senate Standing Committee on Aviation held its meeting in Islamabad with Senator Mushahidullah Khan in chair.
During the meeting, the aviation division discussed matters pertaining to development budget the fiscal year and termination of PIA employees over fake degrees came under discussion.
On the occasion, following strong opposition of government members, the committee chairman summoned list of PIA officials attesting the fake degrees in next session.
Regarding sacking of PIA employees over fake degrees, Mushahidullah said that the employees of PIA should be given relief.
Senator Mola Bukhsh Chandio said that if the employees have been terminated without proper investigation then those who have done this should also be terminated.
On this occasion, Senator Nouman Wazir asked Mushahidullah Khan, they would ask the authorities to take care of those you know to which the committee chairman said, “I do not know anyone in PIA and was talking collectively.”
