Japan's Vice Chief of Joint Staff calls on Air Chief in Islamabad

Lieutenant General Takashi Motomatsu appreciated the professionalism of the PAF.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan and Japan have agreed to further enhance bilateral cooperation and defence ties to strengthen the existing cordial relations between the two countries in general and two air forces in particular.



The agreement was reached during the meeting of Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan and the visiting Vice Chief of Joint Staff of Japan Self Defence Forces Lieutenant General Takashi Motomatsu at Air Headquarters Islamabad today (Tuesday).



During the meeting, both the dignitaries discussed matters of professional interest. Lieutenant General Takashi Motomatsu appreciated the professionalism of the PAF.

The Air Chief briefed the visiting dignitary about ongoing indigenization projects being taken up by PAF in recent years.



A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Air Force presented the Guard of Honour to the distinguished guest on his arrival.



It is pertinent to mention that this visit has been the first in seven years by any Japanese military dignitary.
