PML-N leader Kamran Michael arrested in Lahore

Kamran Michael was arrested by NAB in Lahore.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) leader Kamran Michael in Lahore today (Friday).

The former federal minister was detained on charges of miuse of authority.

Kamran Michael had served as Minister for Statistics, in Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s cabinet from August 2017 to May 2018. He previously served as the Minister for Human Rights in the third Sharif ministry from 2013 to 2017.

A member of the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), Michael held the cabinet portfolio of Minister for Ports and Shipping from 2013 to 2016.

Michael has been an elected member of the Senate of Pakistan on minorities seat since 2012 and has served as the Provincial Minister for Minorities Affairs, Human Rights, Women development, Social Welfare and Finance in the Provincial Assembly of Punjab.
