Govt will present economic agenda before public on Wednesday: Fawad

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Tuesday asserted that tomorrow is an important day for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as the government will unveil its economic agenda to the masses.

In a tweet, the Minister said the government coped with financial emergency in its first five months resulting from balance of payments and flawed economic policies of the previous rulers.

Fawad Chaudhry maintained that 2019 is the year of the realization of actual targets. 

Federal Minister for Finance Asad Umar will present mini budget i.e. supplementary finance bill and macroeconomic framework on January 23 before the parliament.

He said earlier that the government is reviewing the suggestions to increase tax and tariff on imports.

Asad Umar maintained that though it is deplorable to approach International Monetary Fund (IMF) but hopefully it would be the last loan Pakistan is going to secure to steer economy out of crisis.
