Fawad Chaudhry's visit to Karachi canceled

The minister was scheduled to leave for Karachi on Monday evening at 6:00pm.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary on Monday has canceled the visit to Karachi to initiate his ‘mission Sindh’, where he was expected to meet prominent politicians, following instructions from Prime Minister Imran Khan.

 The minister was scheduled to leave for Karachi on Monday evening at 6:00pm.

Reportedly, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government has been attempting to achieve consensus among various political parties concerning the current political scenario in the country, particularly following the report submitted by the Joint Investigation

In this regard, the information minister was scheduled to meet Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) leaders and put forth the government’s point of view.

Furthermore, he had to conduct meetings with Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Ghaus Baksh Mahar, Ameer Baksh Bhutto, Ayaz Lateef Palijo and many other politicians.

Earlier, the minister had informed that Sindh Chief Minister’s name was included in ECL therefore government was demanding replacement of Murad Ali Shah.

He had also denied the news of governor rule imposition in Sindh saying that the government has no intentions to make any change in 18th amendment.
