ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Supreme Court on Friday accepted the written apology of Gilgit-Baltistan Tourism Minister Fida Hussain for his misbehaviour with an Islamabad airport official earlier this month.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar also withdraw the suo motu notice.

During the hearing of the case, the CJP strongly reprimanded the minister and asked, “Were you in your senses? Why did you push the man?”

“Do ministers behave in such a way? Man like you should not remain a minister. Submit a written apology and express regret,” he directed.

“Sit with the attorney general to write an apology,” ordered the judge.

The apology was later read in the court which maintained that he was ashamed over his actions and would accept whatever punishment the court handed to him.

The Chief Justice remarked that Hussain should extend his apology to the airport official with whom he had misbehaved.

“I am withdrawing the notice in respect of the people of Gilgit Baltistan,” he said.
