Punjab CM to inaugurate Head Marala power project today
Plant will generate 50.3 million units electricity annually.
SIALKOT (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar will inaugurate Head Marala Hydro Power Project today.
The power project has been constructed by Chinese conglomerate Sinotech whereas it is being inaugurated after delay of 11 months.
In the initial phase, it was hoped that the project would add 7.64MW electricity to national grid however, the capacity has plummeted to just 3.82MW owing to delays and Rs970 mln raise in the cost.
This power producing plant was linked with the national grid which will generate 50.3 million units electricity annually.
