The Saudi delegation assured full cooperation for resolution of the problems in energy sector

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Saudi Arabia on Monday has shown keen interest to invest in alternative energy sector in Pakistan.

The interest was expressed by a Saudi delegation led by Advisor on Energy Ahmad Hamed Al-Ghamdi at a meeting with Federal Minister for Power Omar Ayub Khan in Islamabad.

The minister informed the Saudi delegation about the power production and new hydropower projects in Pakistan.

He said there is huge potential of investment in energy sector in Pakistan. He said foreign investors will be provided facilities at every level. “Pakistan has become rapidly developing country having tremendous opportunities in energy sector,” he informed.

The Saudi delegation assured full cooperation for resolution of the problems in energy sector. He further mentioned that Pakistan has turned into investor friendly country and it completely facilitates and safeguards foreign investment.

Meanwhile, the Saudi delegation also met Advisor to Prime Minister on Trade Abdul Razzak Daud.

The two sides discussed ways to increase bilateral trade.
