Bilawal criticises PMs decision to send Foreign Minister to attend the UNGA

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday said that false cases were being made against his father and party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.

Addressing a ceremony to mark the death anniversary of veteran politician Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan in Islamabad, he said that Pakistan was passing through a major political era.

Bilawal said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led (PTI) government’s wrong decisions were taking the country towards destruction, adding that the govt’s wrong decisions have increased the problems of the people.

“Those who had promised break the begging bowl were now running the country on donations,” he said and added the selected government will have to tell that the people want elected democracy.

The PPP chairman went on to say that he had decided to wait for at least 100 days before criticising the government’s policies but had to speak because selected premier (Imran Khan) is making life worse for the poor.

Bilawal while criticising the prime minister’s decision to send Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to attend the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session and said that Imran Khan himself should have attended the session to highlight the Kashmir issue at an international forum. “This government’s foreign policy can only be seen on social media,” he added.

He said: “The courts were used in undemocratic tenure for political intentions and today old cases were reopened against former president Asif Ali Zardari.” For the last 30 years, the PPP co-chairman is facing courts, he said adding the process of reoppening old cases must come to an end.
