KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Farooq Sattar on Saturday has announced to challenge the election result of Karachi’s NA-245.

Talking to media, Sattar said that he will present witnesses along with factual evidence. He also expressed hope that the verdict will be announced in his favor.

The MQM leader further asserted that the people of Pakistan will decide his political future.

It is to be mentioned here that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain emerged victorious with 56615 votes in the constituency while Farooq Sattar stood second with 35247 votes.

Earlier, Farooq Sattar had tendered resignation from membership of MQM-P’s Rabita Committee amid deepening rift. The rumors regarding 59-year-old leader to join echelons of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan were also doing rounds.
