COAS General Qamar Bajwa thanked Vice Chairman for the Chinese support and cooperation

BEIJING (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa called on Central Military Commission (CMC) Vice Chairman General Zhang Youxia on Tuesday.

In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the areas of bilateral military cooperation in the field of counter terrorism, arms and equipment technology, and training came under discussion during the meeting.

On the occasion, Central Military Commission Vice Chairman General Zhang Youxia said that China greatly values its time tested relations with Pakistan and its Army.

He said that beijing looks forward to further expanding this cooperation.

The chinese vice chairman said that development of CPEC is aimed at bringing more benefits and prosperity to the people of both countries.

General Zhang Youxia termed Pak-China military cooperation as an important pillar of bilateral relations and said the two militaries should further strengthen this cooperation to safeguard common security challenges.

Speaking on the occasion, COAS General Qamar Bajwa thanked Vice Chairman for the Chinese support and cooperation.

Pakistan s Ambassador to China was also present during the meeting.
