Multan: 23 booked for brutally thrashing student at BZU

MULTAN (Dunya News) – Police officers on Monday lodged a case against 23 suspects for brutally torturing a student at Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU).

The security personnel launched raids at the university hostels on governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar’s directives, however, no detention has been made out so far.



The university administration has also issued notices to the students involved in the mishap and directed them to cooperate with the police.

On the other hand, strict security arrangements have been ensured in the premises of the campus to avoid any untoward incident.

It is to be mentioned here that a group of students badly thrashed a student, belonging to Balochistan, in the university.

Afterwards, Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar took notice of the incident and asked local authorities to present him with a report.
