Fawad also lambasted Fazal over his dual behavior.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal minister for information and broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry—who is in hot water after making bizzare claims pertaining to helicopter’s per hour cost—has on Wednesday dispelled opprobrium while stating no compromise will be made on security of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday criticized Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman saying that he had termed the parliament ‘bogus’ but now wishes to become the president of the country.

His statement came during media interaction outside parliament house in Islamabad.

While announcing to end Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) and press council, Fawad said that a unified Pakistan Media Regulatory Authority will be created with the merger of existing two aforementioned departments.

Chaudhry stressed on one regulatory authority to look after all mediums while calling for applying same laws across the board. Replying to a question, information minister asserted PTI had lifted censorship from the state-run PTV.
