PM, COAS pledge to continue efforts for peace in country

Both the leaders exchanged views on overall security situation in the region.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Imran Khan and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa have expressed the resolve to continue efforts for enduring peace in the country.

This resolve was expressed during a meeting between them in Islamabad on Monday. They reiterated their determination for lasting peace and stability in the country.

Both the leaders also exchanged views on overall security situation in the region.

Earlier today, COAS General Bajwa also conveyed condolences to bereaved family of deceased United States Senator John McCain.

According to ISPR, in a condolence message to bereaved family, he said that McCain was a distinguished war veteran and an accomplished representative of his country.

He said McCain was a friend of Pakistan who believed in great potential of Pak-US relations for common good of both countries.
