Centre forwards three names for new Punjab IG

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The federal government has forwarded three names to Punjab govt for the slot of Inspector General of Punjab Police.
As per details garnered, the names include Mohammad Tahir Khan, Khalid Dad Lak and Faisal Shahkar. Tahir Khan is currently serving as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) IG Police.
Well-informed sources told our correspondent that the names have been changed twice. The authority to pick the most suitable candidate rests with Punjab CM Sardar Usman Buzdar.
After taking reins for the first time, Prime Minister Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is massively reshuffling bureaucracy of the Centre and Punjab.
On the other hand, Retired or on duty military officer is expected to be the next Intelligence Bureau (IB) Director General, whereas the transfers of many IB officials is also on the cards.
