PTI summons parliamentary party meetings in KP, Punjab

Meetings of parliamentary party in KP and Punjab will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan has summoned parliamentary party sessions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Punjab in this week.

According to party sources, the meeting of parliamentary party in KP will be held on Tuesday while Punjab will conduct the session on Wednesday.  

On the other hand, PTI is all set to formally nominate party’s supremo Imran Khan as their candidate for next premier of Pakistan today.

A parliamentary meeting in this regard has been summoned at a private hotel in Islamabad.

PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry told media all MNAs-elect have been directed to make their presence compulsory at the meeting. “Imran Khan will be formally announced as the party’s nominee for premier during the meeting,” Chaudhry said.

Chaudhry added that PTI’s tally in the lower house of parliament has soared to 125 following inclusion of independent candidates.

Adding numbers of Balochistan National Party-Mengal, the party’s tally soars to 177 seats.
