National Party, JI to raise issue of 'allegedly rigged' election 2018 in parliament

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – After Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), National Party and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) have also rejected the suggestion of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman of not taking oath.

According to sources, the parties have decided to bring the issue of ‘allegedly rigged’ general election 2018 to the parliament. JI Chief Siraj-ul-Haq said that he wants to give one chance to the new government despite reservations and controversies. 

On the other hand, PML-N has decided to challenge the general election 2018 on every platform.

PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif chaired a consultative meeting of the party leaders in Islamabad and discussed the strategies regarding post-election scenario.

JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said mandate of the nation was stolen in the general election and the coalition will raise this issue at every forum.

Earlier, during All Parties Conference (APC), JUI-F chief said that we won’t let anyone hijack democracy, adding that we will again run campaign for elections.

The MMA chief said that they had struggled for democracy and would not let any pawn of the establishment to run the government.

Speaking on the occasion, ANP chief Asfandyar Wali said that the best way of boycott is that all leader of all political parties don’t take oath.

PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif said that he is agreed with the decision of the APC. “I will inform about the decision on boycotting the oath-taking ceremony after consulting the party,” he said.
