PML-N demands formation of judicial commission to investigate 'controversial' election

The party would decide on oath-taking after consultations with major opposition parties

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) emerged as the biggest party in Punjab after elections, (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif said on Sunday.

The party’s leadership met in Lahore to discuss strategy in the aftermath of July 25 elections and decided to present their reservations and proposals at a multi-party conference on Monday.

Addressing a press confernece after the meeting, Khawaja Asif said the PML-N wanted a judicial commission comprising of non-PCO judges.

Former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal, while referring to the elections as controversial, said PML-N would decide on oath-taking after consultations with major opposition parties.
