Independent candidates take centre stage in bid to form Punjab government

PPP in Sindh and PTI in KPK gained simple majority to form government.

LAHORE (Dumyat News) – In Punjab, independent candidates takes centre stage as they are being contact for alliance to form provincial government.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Sindh and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in KPK has gained simple majority to form government.

In Balochistan, Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) is taking lead with 11 seats.

Menahwile in Punjab, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) has gained 126 seats, PTI 114, independent candidates 28 and PML-Q 4 seats.

The two leading parties are trying to make alliance with independent candidates as it will decide their fate in the province.

In Sindh, PPP is ahead with 69 seats and can easily form government. On the other hand, PTI is on second position with 13 seats, GDA third with 10 seats while MQM takes the fourth spot with 7 seats.

In KPK, PTI is in power to form provincial government for the second time with 65 seats. MMA has gained 9 seats, ANP 6 and PML-N 5 seats in the province.

In Balochistan, BAP gained 11 seats, MMA 8, independent candidates 5 and PTI 3 seats in provincial assembly. Therefore, in Balochistan alliance will decide the fate of provincial government.
