Nadra told to issue CNICs till July 25
ECP has also ordered Nadra to address the applications of lost identity cards on immediate basis.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has directed the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) to ensure issuance of computerised national identity cards till July 25.
The electoral commission has also directed Nadra to ensure issuance of both urgent and normal CNICs till July 25 and address the applications of lost identity cards on immediate basis.
Nadra officials have been instructed not to seize old CNICs of those seeking changes in identity cards as it is mandatory for voters to carry with them CNICs on election day.
