17 killed in bus, trailer collision near Hyderabad

Rescue teams shifted the dead and injured to hospitals in Matiari and Hala.

HYDERABAD (Dunya News) – At least 17 people were killed and several others were wounded when a trailer collided with a bus at the National Highway in Sakrad area near Hyderabad in the wee hours of Monday, Dunya News reported.

According to details, the bus was parked on the road side as its tyre was punctured and the bus conductor was changing the tyre when a speeding trailer hit it from behind, killing 17 persons and injuring many others.

The dead and injured also included women and children. The ill-fated bus was bringing back wedding guests to Hyderabad.





Police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured to hospitals in Matiari and Hala. The rescue sources said that the death toll may rise further as several injured are stated to be in critical condition.
