PMD predicts rain to prevail till Sunday

PMD reported that rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at scattered places.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Meteorology Department (PMD) on Wednesday predicted rain in parts of country till Sunday.

PMD reported that rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Hazara divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Malakand, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Heavy falls is also expected at one or two places in Kashmir and Gujranwala division. Very hot and humid weather is expected elsewhere in the country.

Seasonal Low lies over North Balochistan with its trough extending southeastward. Monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are penetrating upper parts of the country. A westerly wave is also expected to prevail over the upper parts of the country tonight.
