215 LESCO feeders trip as rain continues in Lahore

Rainwater inundated most of the major city roads and entered houses situated in low-lying areas.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Heavy rain again lashed Lahore in the wee hours of Tuesday, resulting in multiple casualties and power outages in various areas of the city, Dunya News reported.

At least three people, including two policemen, were killed in rain related incidents while over 215 LESCO feeders tripped due to heavy rain, resulting in power outage in various areas.

Rainwater also inundated most of the major city roads and entered houses situated in low-lying areas.

Heavy rain, which lasted for more than an hour, also disrupted flight operations at Allama Iqbal International Airport. Four international flights scheduled to land at the airport were delayed while a flight from Dammam was diverted to Multan.
