Heavy rain inundates several low-lying areas in parts of country

Rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected across the country today as well.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The first spell of monsoon has not only brought the temperature to normal range but also left several areas inundated in parts of country including Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Islamabad and other regions.



According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Malakand, Hazara, Mirpurkhas, Karachi, Hyderabad divisions, Islamabad, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.



Emergency has already been declared in Karachi whereas intermittent rainfall took eight lives as the wall of a dilapidated mosque collapsed in Lahore.
