Nomination papers of hundreds of candidates approved
Nomination papers of Bilawal Bhutto, Shehbaz Sharif also approved
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The nomination papers of hundreds of candidates including Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui have been approved.
PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari crossed first hurdle as his nomination papers for NA-200 Larkana and NA-8 Malakand were approved.
On the other hand, former Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif also got approval to contest election from NA-132, while scrutiny of his nomination papers for PP-165 has also been completed.
Meanwhile, the approval of Hamza Shehbaz and Ayaz Saqid’s nomination papers for NA-124 and NA-133 has been delayed, while the PTI raised objection on the nomination papers of PML-N leader Zaeem Qadri.
The nomination papers of more than 70 candidates including PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique, PTI leader Shafqat Mahmood, and Pervaiz Malik have been approved.
The scrutiny of MQM-P leader Farooq Sattar for NA-247 has been completed but the decision regarding approval has been delayed.
The nomination papers of Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui for NA-254 and Ali Zaidi for NA-244 have been approved.
