Caretaker setup: Abbasi-Shah expected to meet again today
Khursheed Shah reached Islamabad from Karachi on Sunday night for another meeting with PM Abbasi.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah are expected to meet again today (Monday) to pick a suitable nominee to lead the caretaker government, Dunya News reported.
Sources said that government has contacted opposition again in this regard and it is expected that PM Abbasi and Khursheed Shah would reach a consensus on the name of caretaker prime minister during today’s meeting.
Sources further informed that opposition leader Khursheed Shah reached Islamabad from Karachi on Sunday night for another meeting with PM Abbasi.
However, if no consensus was developed on the name of caretaker prime minister during today’s meeting then the issue would land before the parliamentary committee to take a decision in this regard.
