Shujabad: Dumper crushes four labourers to death
A speedy dumper ran over labourers in Shujabad on Friday, killing four and injuring three other.
SHUJABAD (Dunya News) – At least four labourers were killed and three other were wounded when a recklessly driven dumper ran over them near Basti Dad Motorway Interchange in Shujabad on Friday.
According to details, the labourers were working at the site of Basti Dad Motorway Interchange when the dumper hit them, killing three labourers on the spot and injuring four others. Another labourer died on way to hospital. The deceased labourers were identified as Ajmal, Waseem, Maqbool and Ikram.
The injured labourers were shifted to Tehsil Headquaters Hospital Shujabad from where they were referred to Nishtar Hospital, Multan. According to SSP operations, the driver of dumper managed to escape from the scene after the accident.
It is pertinent to mention here that Basti Dad Motorway Interchange is scheduled to be inaugurated today (Saturday). Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will be the chief guest.
