(Web Desk) – As temperatures soar across the country and with heatwave alerts being issued in the coastal city of Karachi, people are using conventional means to cool themselves off – by bathing.

With the country also observing the holy month of Ramazan, there is little people fasting from dawn to dusk can do to protect themselves from the blazing heat other than to stay indoors or splash water on their faces and heads.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, Karachi is expected to be hit with temperatures as high as 44 degree Celsius on Monday. The Met department has predicted that Karachi will be facing this heatwave for the next three days.

Temperatures across other parts of the country are also on the rise with major parts expected to remain dry.
