Announcement of caretaker PM name delayed by three days
Opposition leader in National Assembly Khursheed Shah will announce name of caretaker PM on Friday.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The announcement of the name of caretaker prime minister, which was to be announced today (Tuesday) has been delayed by three days, Dunya News reported.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah had reached a consensus on the name of caretaker prime minister on May 11. The two leaders had also decided to not make the name public until May 15 and the task to announce the name to caretaker prime minister was given to Khursheed Shah.
However, Khursheed Shah will now announce the name of caretaker prime minister on May 18. Citing reasons behind the delay, the opposition leader said that he was going to Sindh due to prior engagements.
