Pakistan's progress and development is linked with Karachi

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Friday said that only a democratic government can counter the challenges facing Pakistan.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of National Incubation Center at NED University, he said that the country wouldn’t have progressed if there wasn’t a democratic government in the country.

“Pakistan’s progress and development is linked with Karachi,” he added.

The premier while lauding his government’s achievements said that the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government restored peace in Karachi.

Ratio of street crime has dropped considerably after the Karachi operation, he said.

Abbasi went on to say that continuity of democratic system is imperative for the development and progress of the country.

“We have proved that only democratic government can pull the country out of challenges,” he said and added in spite of difficulties attention is being paid to development projects.
