PTI had not obtained NOC for holding public gathering.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – In what is considered as political battle to claim hegemony in Pakistan’s economic hub Karachi, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Peoples Party have locked horns over holding public-gathering on Karachi’s University road on the same day i-e May-12.

Commenting on the matter, PPP’s Saeed Ghani warned that political chaos might enter streets of Karachi while accusing PTI of rehashing Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) agenda.

“PPP had handed over a letter to Deputy Commissioner pertaining to holding public-gathering in front of Mazar-e-Quaid on May-4. We have finalized arrangements and can’t alter place of scheduled gathering at any cost. PPP will hold rally and Bilawal will address attendants as per schedule.”, asserted Ghan.

On the other hand, PTI’s leader confessed that neither they had tabled any formal request nor any No Objection Certificate was awarded to them by authorities concerned.
