PML-N introduced tax reforms for the first time in country: PM Abbasi

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said on Monday that PML-N government succeeded in eliminating terrorist hideouts in the country.

Addressing an investment conference in Islamabad, PM explained that in the past investors had security concerns which were taken care of due to an effective war against terror. He stressed that efforts are being made to make the security sustainable for future of Pakistan.

The premier maintained that during their era tax reforms were introduced for the very first time. Economic corridor is a vision of regional links, he added.

He assured prospective entrepreneurs that their investment will be secure and will have higher return of their investment in Pakistan. The premier urged that that they will not experience losses by investing in Pakistan as many companies came and went but none of them suffered a loss.

The Prime Minister asserted that due to Pakistan’s business friendly policies, location, incentives, ease of doing business, vast consumer base and improvement of infrastructure and connectivity, the country has become an attractive investment destination.

PM Abbasi asserted that the country faced many serious challenges when the present government assumed power in 2013 however; most of them have successfully been addressed.

Power outages are going to become part of the past and the country is poised to have surplus electricity by 2025, he remarked.

The premier told that the government is now planning to reduce the cost of power. He pronounced that gas shortages have also been addressed through import of LNG.
