Attack on Ahsan Iqbal widely condemned
President, PM, COAS, Imran, Bilawal, Sirah-ul-Haq and others have condemned attack in Ahsan Iqbal.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, COAS Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, PTI chief Imran Khan, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, JI ameer Siraj-ul-Haq and other political leaders on Sunday have condemned assassination attempt on Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal.
President Mamnoon Hussain strongly condemned attack on Minister for Interior Ahsan Iqbal which left him injured. In a statement issued by President House, he prayed for early recovery of the federal minister and also sympathized with the family.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi strongly condemned the incident and sought immediate report from the Inspector General of Punjab Police on the matter.
PM Abbasi also telephoned Minister for Interior Ahsan Iqbal to inquire after him as he got injured in an attack took place in Narowal on Sunday. He also prayed for early recovery of the minister, said a PM Office statement.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa condemned firing on Federal Minister for Interior, Ahsan Iqbal. According to a tweet of Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS expressed best wishes for early recovery of the minister.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto also strongly condemned the coward attack on country’s interior minister.
