Private clinics will be allowed to operate medical stores without license.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – According to a statement of the meeting between doctors and government representatives, an MOU will be signed between doctors and government representatives under which, private clinics will be allowed to operate medical stores without license, but the store will not be next to the clinic and the practitioner will only be allowed to check their own customers.

Previously, the doctors complained that drug inspectors badger them by asking for licenses and issuing them tickets. In the meeting held, Dr. Ashraf Nizami of PMA, Dr. Izhar Chaudhry, Dr. Ajmal Naqvi, Dr. Tariq Mian of Pakistan Academy of Family Physicians and Captain Saeed Humayun participate representing the doctors.

It was agreed that no doctor will prescribe medicine for customers of other doctors and clinics having more than one doctor will be obligated to get a license in order to run a pharmacy.
