Faisalabad: 3 workers killed in textile factory's gas generator explosion
Three labourers were killed when gas generator of a textile factory exploded in Faisalabad on Sunday
FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – At least three labourers were killed and six other sustained burn injuries when gas generator of a textile factory exploded in Faisalabad on Sunday, Dunya News reported.
The explosion was so severe that roof of the factory collapsed due to its impact, burying several workers under to debris. Fire also erupted after the explosion.
Rescue teams reached the spot and retrieved the dead and injured from the rubble and shifted them to the Allied Hospital, Faisalabad. Heirs of the victims also reached the hospital after getting information about the explosion.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Faisalabad has constituted a five-member inquiry committee to probe the incident. Additional DC has been named as head of the inquiry committee.
