Ceremony to pay tribute to the martyrs was held at General Headquarter (GHQ).

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – A ceremony to pay tribute to the martyrs was held at General Headquarter (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. 

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa was the chief guest of the ceremony.

During the ceremony, the COAS conferred military awards to officials and soldiers.

The ceremony was attended by the officials, soldiers and heirs of the martyred army men.

Addressing the ceremony, the COAS said that the peace and stability has been restored in the country as a result of the sacrifices rendered by martyrs and ghazis, adding that the war against terrorism has not ended yet.

Pakistan has successfully defeated the menace of terrorism, he added.

Gen Bajwa also paid rich tribute to the mothers of the martyred soldiers. “Those who laid down their lives for the country are our real heroes,” he said.

He said that the nations who forget their martyrs do not even exist, adding that Pakistan is heading towards peace and development.
The COAS went on to say that Pakistan has passed the difficult times and the good time has started.

The heirs of the martyred soldiers will never be forgotten, he said and added every possible help of the families of the martyrs will be continued.

“Peace and stabilityin the country is due to martyrs and ghazis,” he added.

General Bajwa reiterated that no power on earth can cast an evil eye on Pakistan till valiant mothers and daughters of this great nation continue sending their sons and brothers to defend the motherland.
