Lahore: Three labourers killed as tractor trolley hits overhead barrier

The dead bodies of the deceased were sent to General Hospital for post-mortem.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – At least three labourers were killed when a tractor trolley loaded with brick hit an overhead barrier in Bhatta Chowk area of Lahore in the wee hours of Thursday, Dunya News reported.

According to details, a tractor trolley loaded with bricks was on its way to deliver the building material in a private housing society near Bhatta Chowk with three labourers sleep atop the bricks. The tractor trolley hit a concrete overhead barrier as the driver misjudged its height and passed under it as a result the sleeping labourers died on the spot.

The residents of the area informed police who reached there and arrested driver Muhammad Nadeem and also seized the tractor trolley. The deceased were identified as Sajid, Shahid and Nisar and were aged between 18 years to 22.

Police sources said that the deceased belonged to village Kot Radha Kishan near Raiwind. Police have shifted the bodies to mortuary of the General Hospital for autopsy.
