MPA Anwar Raza quits MQM-P, joins PSP

Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Member Sindh Assembly Anwar Raza jumped the ship and joined the Pakistan Sarzameen Party (PSP) on Wednesday.

Flanked by PSP chief Mustafa Kamal, Anwar announced to resign from the MQM-P membership during a press conference at the Pakistan House, and added that he had joined the PSP out of free will.

Speaking on the occasion, Kamal said that there was no plan in sight to replace the opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly. “The PSP will support the incumbent opposition leader if he performs his duties effectively,” said Kamal.

He said that the PSP would take to the streets along with the masses if Karachi Electric could not resolve electricity woes.
