Sugar sachets found bearing faulty mfg date in PIA flight
In one of the local flights of PIA, sugar sachets were found to have faulty manufacturing date.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – In one of the local flights of PIA, sugar sachets were found to have faulty manufacturing date which caught immediate attention of the authorities.
According to sources, the manufacturing date on the sachets given to passengers was set as July 2018 which raised suspicions about the quality of sugar.
Taking notice of the issue, CEO PIA Musharraf Rasool ordered investigation into the matter. He has vowed not to observe any lenience in the matter as it directly affects the credibility of the company.
Before this, PIA came into limelight for a kitchen-related issue when the attendants and the crew was seen handling food without observing proper hygienic measures.
According to PIA sources, the supplier has been blacklisted and sent a legal notice, while all the existing stock of sugar has been returned.
