Senate elections expose non-democratic elements: PML-N leaders
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that former PM Nawaz Sharif is still standing firm on his principles.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Marriyum Aurangzeb and Talal Chaudhry during their media talks soon after the Chairman Senate election severely criticized the opposition alliance and stated the non-democratic elements have been exposed after the victory of opposition-backed candidate Sadiq Sanjrani.
Giving her reaction on the victory of the opposition-backed candidate, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the true faces of some elements were exposed during chairman Senate election on Monday.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Nawaz Sharif is still standing firm on his principles and added that those who called each other as thieves have joined hands against him.
She said that people mandate in the 2018 general elections will confirm that the masses are still standing with Nawaz Sharif. She said that the people will beck Nawaz’s ideology “give respect to vote” in the next elections.
She further stated that Senate election witnessed massive horse-trading and added that the masses have witnessed how the votes were bought in Balochistan, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She said that people will reject non-democratic elements in the 2018 general election.
Also speaking on the occasion, State Minister for Interior Talal Chaudhry said that Asif Zardari and Imran Khan alliance against Nawaz Sharif has in fact inflected severe harm to democracy.
Talal Chaudhry termed Sadiq Sanjrani election as Chairmen Senate as recruitment and said that the election has exposed non-democratic elements.
