Met Office predicts intermittent rainfall throughout the day

A westerly wave is affecting western and upper parts of the country.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Rainfall in several cities of Punjab including Lahore added chill to the weather and turned it pleasant on Saturday.

Rain coupled with thunderstorm lashed Lahore late night and continued until morning. Cool breeze also blew across the province.

Light and heavy rainfall was also recorded in other cities such as Faisalabad, Multan, Kasur, Vehari, Jhang and Rajanpur.

Temperature dropped in different areas of Balochistan including Quetta and Zhob as downpour occurred. Maximum rainfall 15mm was recorded in Zhob.

Met Office has predicted intermittent rainfall throughout the day.

In next 24 hours, rain-thunderstorm (with snow over the hills) associated with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in northeast Balochistan (Quetta, Zhob, Kalat divisions), Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore, Faisalabad divisions), Islamabad, FATA, Kashmir, while at isolated places in Sahiwal, Multan, Bahawalpur, D.G.Khan divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.
