SC issues notices to director generals of intelligence agencies in Naqeeb case

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar issued notices and set the case for hearing

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Supreme Court issued notices to the director generals (DGs) of intelligence agencies in Naqeebullah Mehsud case and set the case for hearing.

The top court sent notices to Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) DG, Military Intelligence (MI) IG and Intelligence Bureau (IB) DG.

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar issued the notices and set the case for hearing on February 13. He formed a three-member bench to hear the murder case of Naqeebullah Mehsud.

Moroever, CJP also issued notices to Secretary of Interior, home secetaries of all four provinces, Sindh IGP AD Khawaja, Secretary of Information and attorney generals of all four provices.

The top court had earlier given an ultimatum of 10 days to the suspended Malir SSP Rao Anwar who is on the run from police after he was declared an absconder by the court.

Justice Nisar had taken suo motu notice of the alleged extra-judicial killing of Naqeebullah Mehsud during an encounter in Karachi. He had directed the Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) to submit a report of the incident.
