KARACHI (Dunya News) – Former army chief Pervez Musharraf has urged the people of Karachi to pledge their support to All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) and detach themselves with Muttahida Qaumi Movement.

Musharraf addressed a rally at Liquatabad Flyover of APML supporters on Sunday over a Skype call connected from Dubai.

In his speech, the former dictator said that he wishes to bring a basic change in politics of Pakistan and that he would voice support for any lawmaker who’d work for the betterment of the people.

Musharraf said that a better name should be given to the community instead of Mohajir and MQM. He said that he does not talk about personal gains but people’s interest. The ex-army chief alleged that the incumbent leaders of Pakistan do not feel for the people of the country.

He vowed to bring about a positive change in Karachi after coming to power and said that the political party would initiate development projects in Karachi.

Pervez Musharraf claimed that APML would defeat PPP in Sindh in coming General Elections 2018.
