Sharifs to meet Saudi crown prince amid speculations of NRO today

RIYADH (Dunya News) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif are all set to meet Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman Al Saud on Sunday (today) amid speculations of another National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).

Senior leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), including Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, Senator Asif Kirmani and Federal Minister for Commerce and Textile, Muhammad Pervaiz Malik, is also present in Saudi Arabia.

PML-N leadership welcomed ousted premier Nawaz Sharif at the airport upon his arrival in Riyadh. PML-N leaders’ dash to Saudi Arabia has created uncertainties among the political fraternity and fuelled suspicions.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan opined that the greed of Sharif family is becoming a national security threat for Pakistan, stressing that the country suffered constant humiliation because of the “greedy Sharif brothers”.
