(Web Desk) – Following a three-day rain spell and snowfall that hit parts of Pakistan earlier this week, an additional chill has been brought to an already cold December.
While a cold wave has engulfed major parts of Pakistan, the temperature has dropped to freezing cold innorthern areas. A thick blanket of snow has already taken over parts of northern Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Temperatures have dropped below freezing point in Kalat and Quetta.
With additional rains forecasted in areas including Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Rawalpindi divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, as well as snowfall in the mountainous regions, the weather conditions are expected to largely remain cold and dry in major parts of the country.
