Rain, snowfall predicted in different parts of Pakistan next week

Cold wave conditions are likely to prevail in most parts.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A westerly wave is expected to enter in Pakistan from Sunday that will produce rain with snowfall over the hills from Sunday to Wednesday, the Met Office stated in a press release on Friday.

Rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Northeast Balochistan, Sindh on Sunday and Monday.

During the next week, rain and thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA from Sunday to Tuesday while scattered places in Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir will receive rain and snowfall from Monday to Wednesday.

Cold wave conditions are likely to prevail in most parts of Balochistan, Sindh including Karachi during the coming week.

Snowfall is also expected in Murree and Galliyat on Monday and Tuesday.

In the last 24 hours, lowest temperature was recorded in Skardu, Gilgit and Kalat at -04°C, Gupis -03°C, Quetta, Dalbandin, Astore, Hunza, Parachinar, Dir -02°C and Kalam -01°C.
