Gen (retd) Nasir Janjua told that India has to eventually conduct negotiations to protect interests

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan has been conducting backdoor diplomacy with the arch-rival India in a bid to resolve the issues and release tensions through talks, confirmed the National Security Advisor.

Talking to media on Friday, General (retd) Nasir Janjua said India has to eventually come on the table for talks to protect its own interests. “Pakistan is ready to hold talks with India on Kashmir and other basic issues,” he told.

Janjua admitted that India had committed unprecedented human rights violations in the occupied valley. He said that authorities in the neighbouring country are confused, condemning the killings of innocent Kashmiris in IoK.

He praised the Pakistan Army soldiers for their valour in protecting the borders. Gen (retd) Janjua assured that the state will triumph in war against terrorism.

Talking to Dunya News, he said that the soil of Afghanistan has been used to conduct terror attacks in Pakistan as there is clear evidence of terrorists’ hideouts. “All our areas are clear. Terrorists come from across the border,” he said.

The National Security Advisor stressed that Afghan administrations has no writ in its areas, and told that Pakistan only raises its voice as a responsible state in the region. He urged the need for national alliance on the issue of terrorism such that all political powers in the country should be on the same page.

Janjua stated that Pakistan cannot be weakened by internal conflicts and conspiracies.
